I agree with your assessment of this image. It almost has a haunting quality to it and one wonders what the chances are for this couple to have a happy marriage. One hopes that they will have a bright future.
ReplyDeletethe terrifying irony of photographing the couple in the environment which is more typical of ordinary wedding portraits is really haunting me. It's like nothing has changed and yet everything has changed.
